Serving Oshawa and the Durham Region since 2008, Cyrus Restaurant has transformed from a place with promise and potential to becoming a small town powerhouse.

Renovations in the summer of 2013 on the exterior and interior facade of the establishment have revamped its appearance and only resulted in more of a craze for this little Middle Eastern Restaurant.

Amazing customer service, large plates of food that will fill you up, great value and a unique blend of flavours that distinguish the restaurant from any other shawarma place will have anyone coming back for more.

The most amazing thing about this place is the amount of repeat customers and how the owners just know everybody’s orders right down to the salad dressing you prefer. There is room to dine in or you may takeout if you wish, parties may book in advance, and delivery is also available for those living in the area. The shawarma plate is a must try!

  • I know everyone has their own taste but there is not another Sharwarma place that comes close to Sharwarma Empire at Pharmacy and Lawrence is Scarborough. I only discovered this place after noticing that in every newspaper about 4 years ago the actual food critic listed Sharwama empire as the best so I went and damn was I surprised…I was an El SAbil, Ebrahim, and occasionally Nasibs and Jerusalem but Sharwarma Empire destroys all of them. Not an Halalee but my friends turned me onto halal foods and the meat tasted better and cleaner in my opinion.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback – that was Chris Nutall right? I recall a list he compiled of the best places in the east end – empire was one of them! I love your term halalee lol! Look forward to reading more of your thoughts on our site!
