I first heard about M&Co Burgers through the gram and since I love a good burger, decided to check them out on a Friday evening. I was expecting the typical suburban burger joint — I was pleasantly surprised by the time I got to the food.
M&Co Burgers is located in a strip plaza on the North East corner of Warden and Lawrence. The interior is simple and has limited seating but you can comfortably seat a group of 4-6 on one of their 4 large tables. Since their tables are bar height, it might be harder to seat children who aren’t able to sit on their own. The seats are all stools, so consider that as well.
At first glance, M&Co Burgers seems like your average gourmet burger place with the usual suspects such as burgers, poutine and cheesesteak sandwiches.
We went to place our order and the staff recommended we try Man Up! An Angus beef patty stuffed with cheddar cheese, topped with pulled beef, cheese, guacamole and arugula. He also recommended Holy Mo! Which featured a lamb patty with goat cheese, basil pesto, onion marmalade and arugula.
Here’s where things changed. Both burgers were better than expected. M&Co Burgers suddenly went from the typical burger joint to a hidden gem. We later found out that the owner has been a chef in five-star hotel restaurants for over 15 years. Everything is made from scratch in house. Ingredients and process are never compromised.
Another noteworthy dish is their Crispy Cauliflower. Crispy, soft and full of flavour.
On top of wonderful food, M&Co Burgers prices are another reason this place is such a great find. If you get to try them out, please let us know what you think in the comment section below!
